I am so glad to see Timmy get his own memothentic. As my young son and I watched the game that night , anticipating his upcoming 1000th catch, I reflected on how steady and great he'd been with one team in his whole career. When the catch finally happened, the grab itself wasn't all that spectacular, but the Jets moaned and groaned because they stopped the game briefly. Why wouldn't you stop the game ? We just witnessed a man reach a number that not too many have done. Sort of like 400 homeruns in baseball. The Jets players must've hit a nerve, because I rember hearing the next day that Jerry Porter yelled at them "We're gonna score on the next play !". And the Raiders did !" I don't remeber who, it wasn't Tim, but just the same, very fitting, and very satisfying for this long-time Raider fan, but more importantly, long-time TB fan. He played with class, distinction, and integrity his whole career.
