You have to love this shot of Rod Martin — the look of victory after winning . Not only did the Raiders win that Super Bowl, Rod Martin recorded a — 3 interceptions in one game! That record has stood for over 26 years. Read below to get a sneak peak into what Rod was thinking during the celebration.

“Looking up with arms stretched towards the top of the Super Dome, with 3 fingers in the air on both hands indicating my 3 interceptions to the area in which my family and my Silver & Black family were sitting amongst all those green & white fans saying “We are the World Champions & I have a Super Bowl Record!!!”. I was thinking about our psp theme song that year “Celebration” by Kool and the Gang, singing ‘Celebrate Good Times Come On” and we are going to party tonight!!!!!”

Rod Martin still holds the record for 3 interceptions in a Super Bowl. His 3 interceptions are not only a Super Bowl record but they also tied linebacker Chuck Howley’s record for career Super Bowl interceptions. Martin is the only one to record all 3 interceptions in one game.
